IDS Professional Services has strategically categorized its service offerings to rapidly implement
new systems and other technological changes with minimal operational impact. These groups include Planning, Building and Operational Services.
The Riverbed Steelhead Jumpstart Service is an IDS Enterprise Consulting professional service
offering that includes Riverbed Steelhead planning, deployment, configuration, testing and
operational knowledge transfer. Leveraging Riverbed Best Practices, this service will enhance
the adoption and utilization of the Riverbed Steelhead solution.
Generally implemented between the delivery of the Riverbed equipment and the initial
deployment, the Jumpstart Service will ensure optimal functionality and provide a foundation
for successful post-deployment management of the Riverbed Steelhead solution. Designed to
provide continuity from the purchase of the Riverbed Steelhead solution through successful
deployment and on-going management, customers leveraging the Jumpstart Service will learn
how to most effectively utilize Riverbed's Wide-area Data Services solutions.

Scope
- Provides on-site assistance with the deployment, configuration and testing of up to
three Riverbed Steelheads at up to three locations based out of a primary data center.
- Includes the creation and delivery of a customized operational knowledge transfer
session during the Steelhead solution enablement process.
- The Jumpstart Service does not replace the Riverbed Training services or other
professional service offerings. Riverbed training courses have pre-defined and broadlyscoped
agendas. The Jumpstart Service is customized to maximize Riverbed's features
relevant to the client's specific network design.
