Backup & Recovery Assessment and Design
IDS Professional Services has strategically categorized its service offerings to rapidly implement
new systems and other technological changes with minimal operational impact. These groups include Planning, Building and Operational Services.
Backup and Recovery Assessment and Design services have been created to assist clients in
evaluating and designing solutions to meet their unique backup and recovery requirements.
Often, these services are performed prior to an initial implementation of a software or
hardware solution aimed at expanding the existing backup and recovery infrastructure's
capabilities.
In addition to helping clients identify the optimal data protection design for each server and
application, the services also include an in-depth storage architecture review feturing a
physical and logical layout. Current and projected storage requirements and data flows as
well as availability demands are of primary focus. Recommendations are provided for multiple
software solution configurations, implementations, and operational integrations.
Each Assessment and Design engagement includes standard components that may be
augmented with optional activities based on client requirements.
